Are we
a people prepared? I know that I reference God's presence a lot. There
is one thing that makes us stand out in this world, and that is God's
presence is with us on our journey. One thing that almost always follows
God's presence is His power. Now, it is hard to compare God to any
human, because the illustration will break down quickly. But, just like
any dad, when His child or grandchild is excited about His presence, He
always wants to follow with His power, which with God shows up in
healing, signs and wonders.
It is my
opinion that we must be reminded that God not only has a purpose for
each of us, but we must be willing to take the steps to fulfill that
purpose. I think each one of us have experienced times when we needed
God's provision in our lives. It may have been a financial situation, a
relationship that needed healing, a new job or direction in our lives.
The truth is that no matter what we need, God is able and will supply if
we only learn to wait on Him. The problem is that it is easy for us to
think that God simply provides through our own resources, but this is
not true. Most times, God provides for us in spite of our own resources.
However, we must trust Him and keep believing. Philippians 4:18-20 was written by Paul while he was in prison, and he had his needs met.
Their meeting his needs was like a sweet aroma to God. Let me ask you,
are you a sweet aroma to God, or are you another kind of aroma?
Pastor Ron, in the Spirit, encourages us to prepare in messages, entitled: "A People Prepared For His Presence"; "A People Prepared for His Power"; "A People Prepared for His Purpose"; "A People Prepared for His Provision"; and "A People Prepared for His Pleasure".
Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. - 1 Peter 1:13 NKJV
