The Book Of Ephesians

This series begins with the first three chapters of Ephesians where the theme is, "To Know Him Better", derived from Ephesians 1:17 NIV "I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better." This is much more than a sweet little idea about knowing God more. This is the idea of knowing Him intimately. You will notice in these first three chapters that the Apostle Paul prays a lot of these truths. A truth does not become yours totally until you can pray it.

The second part of the series looks at the last three chapters where the theme is, "To Serve Him Better". Ephesians 4:11 tells us that God has given gifts to the church. We get our truth for this part of series from Ephesians 4:12 NIV ". . .to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up." These gifts were given by God to prepare His people for "works of service." This is much more than serving in a volunteer position in your church. This has to do with walking in unity, living a Godly life, how we live out our family life, and our call to victorious living. Pastor Don Pickerill says that "True maturity comes to a church when they understand Ephesians." My prayer is that this series will prepare your heart for all that God has for His church!
